Fantasy costumes
At Candy Apple Costumes, the online store of Party Makers in downtown Tuscaloosa, note the many costumes with fantasy motifs. On the "Best Sellers" menu, for example, click on "Storybook & Fairy" and "Gothic & Scary." Would Susanna Clarke's gentleman, or the narrator of Kelly Link's "The Faery Handbag," recognize any of these fairies?

Hee hee...no. Well, maybe Clarke. She had all types of fairy characters. And maybe Ford with his little beach peoples. I'm sad that the Daisy Lady Bug costume is out of stock. I really want those socks.

Yes, these fairies... are more Barbarella crossed pollinated with Disney than what we've been into this semester... hmmm.
